Transarterial Radioembolization in Liver Tumors: Expanding Horizons in Locoregional Therapy
This comprehensive joint session by the Liver Transplant Society of India (LTSI) and the Indian Society of Vascular and Interventional Radiology (ISVIR) will focus on the expanding role of Transarterial Radioembolization (TARE) in the management of primary and metastatic liver tumors.
The symposium will cover the full spectrum of TARE—from foundational principles and patient selection to technical execution and post-treatment assessment. Participants will gain practical insights into the integration of TARE within multidisciplinary liver cancer care, as well as its emerging applications as a bridge or downstaging therapy for liver tumors.

Science Behind the Scalpel – Basic Science Research in Liver Transplantation
The LTSI–ILTS Joint Symposium bridges the gap between basic science and clinical application in liver transplantation. It explores how molecular biology, immunology, and experimental modeling are reshaping patient outcomes and innovation.
Innate vs adaptive immune changes, tolerance pathways, role of T cells
Oxidative stress, inflammasomes, cytokine storms, mitigation strategies
Microbiome shifts post-transplant, metabolomics insights

Navigate ALF with Precision: Etiological Patterns, ICU Care, Dynamic Scores, and Transplant Readiness
This collaborative session by the Indian National Association for the Study of the Liver (INASL) and the Liver Transplant Society of India (LTSI) brings together hepatologists, intensivists, and transplant specialists to provide an integrated perspective on the management of Acute Liver Failure (ALF).
The symposium will explore the etiological spectrums of ALF in different clinical settings, contemporary approaches to intensive care and the application of dynamic prognostic scores in guiding timely and effective interventions. Special emphasis will be placed on transplant readiness—including early identification of candidates, optimizing pre-transplant stabilization, and streamlining referral pathways to improve survival outcomes.
By combining insights from medical hepatology and transplant science, this joint session highlights the importance of precision, collaboration, and early decision-making in improving outcomes for patients with ALF.
