This workshop is an advanced, hands-on training session to enhance procedural expertise in PICC line placement, particularly in the context of liver transplant patients. The program emphasizes current best practices, image-guided techniques and procedural nuances relevant to this complex patient population. Participants will benefit from direct interaction with expert faculty and practical experience using high-fidelity anatomical simulators, enabling skill refinement in a controlled, clinically relevant environment.
Understand indications and contraindications of PICC line placement
Learn patient selection and pre-procedural evaluation
Familiarize with ultrasound and fluoroscopic techniques of insertion
Recognize and manage PICC line related complications
Understand maintenance protocols and care pathways
Gain hands-on experience with PICC line insertion kits and simulators
